Wellness Foods, a division of the Simply Good Foods Company, is seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Coordinator who is passionate about health and wellness, to support the growth of the Atkins ( and SimplyProtein ( brands in Canada.

About the opportunity

As Senior Sales Coordinator you’ll power the sales team to maximize performance by providing crucial support, acting as the point of reference for the sales team and customers alike, coordinating schedules & expenses, preparing the team for sales meetings/events, owning all customer account administration, and acting as the communications hub for the team. Working with members of the Wellness team, you’ll leverage available data to monitor, plan and assist in executing against company goals. In addition to the above, you’ll manage your own portfolio of small accounts and gain exposure, leading to more senior sales roles. To support the Sales Team, you’ll coordinate customer meetings and events: create presentations, and ensure sales-related equipment, product and promo materials are in place, manage E-commerce and sales communication pieces,leverage marketing initiatives (such as digital campaigns) with retailers, administer internal and customer sales portals, manage inventory and demo executions (Costco and other retailers), and maintain price and product spec lists, and help manage participation at trade shows. You’ll also coordinate sales meetingsand provide administrative support to the team and the Managing Director.

Guided by the senior account manager(s), you’ll work with the distributors on independent retailer businesses, work directly with some accounts, and support the business with larger/chain retailers. This includes working with retailers to develop promotion plans, developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, responding to complaints and giving after-sales support, and opening new doors and expanding product listings with existing customers.

You’ll work with Marketing to analyze and translate data into business intelligence (trends in buying behaviours and patterns) and keep on top of changes and opportunities in the market to support business decisions, budgeting and forecasting and develop opportunities and grow the business.

About you…

The ideal candidate will havea post-secondary qualification in Business/Marketing and 2-3 years’ experience supporting a sales team in Consumer-Packaged Goods and/or a fast-growing company, or equivalent blend. They will have proven organization and problem-solving skills, data literacy and the ability to anticipate and fulfill the sales teams’ and customers’ needs. They have effective and persuasive communication skills (verbal and written, active listening, selling) and can work collaboratively, and use autonomy and judgment to deliverable accountabilities, even when priorities shift. They are proficient in MS Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint), can engage with new software systems, and ideally have worked with AFS Trade Pro, AC Nielsen, and QuickBooks.
