Your role
Under the supervision of the warehouse manager, the forklift operator ensures the safe handling of goods, supplies production lines, and participates in shipping and receiving activities.
Your responsibilities
- Operate a forklift safely
- Handle, move, and store goods
- Load and unload trucks
- Perform daily forklift inspections
- Participate in shipping and receiving activities
- Assist in training new employees
- Carry out inventory tasks (mandatory)
- Follow safety, ISO, and OHS standards
- Apply company policies and procedures
- Perform any other related duties
Skills and qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and count
- Ability to read measurements (imperial and metric)
- Good manual dexterity
- Good physical capacity
- Ability to work at heights (ladder/stairs)
- Teamwork skills
- Punctuality and reliability
- Strong organizational skills
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Valid forklift operator certification (an asset)
