Job Summary:
Freebird Market and 10tation Event Catering are one of Toronto’s top full-service catering and event companies with a gourmet food shop. We provide catering for Corporate Events, Intimate Affairs, Big Bashes, and Weddings. 10tation Events are held in a variety of locations including private homes, offices, conference centers, event halls, and many more.
At 10tation Event Catering our Event Planners help clients organize the event from start to finish; including, but not limited to, details such as catering, venue, rentals, beverages, staffing needs, décor, entertainment, etc.
Freebird Market will be opening a second location in the Bay Adelaide Centre in early December 2024 and we are looking fora special candidate to work mainly from the new store and arrange and prospect off premises catering.
The candidate will be expected to be trained and work from our Etobicoke office @ 232 Norseman until the the new store opens.
Requirements:
- Must appreciate and enjoy food made from scratch.
- Degree or diploma in Event Planning or equivalent hospitality discipline
- Proven experience as an event coordinator or inside sales associate
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Sales skills and passion for building productive business relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Passion for customer service
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with short turnaround deliverables
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take direction
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ability to create and deliver catering quotes with a high degree of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple orders a day while maintaining organized files
- Liaise with clients to identify their needs and ensure the highest customer satisfaction
- Stay current, and often ahead of the curve, on event planning, design, and production trends, proactively identifying and solving operational challenges
- Nurture and build relationships with vendors, venues, and other industry contacts to craft and implement creative and logistical aspects of all events
- Provide feedback and reports to management
- Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
Sales Tasks:
- Generate and qualify leads
- Present our offering to new offices and potential clients
- Source and develop client referrals
- Develop and maintain customer database
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00-$52,577.12 per year
