Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager / Senior Service Advisor to lead our automotive service department. This role combines leadership responsibilities with technical expertise, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient operations, and increased sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dealership/ Automotive operations, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding automotive care.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, and staff supervision
- Provide expert advice to customers on vehicle repairs and maintenance needs
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate services and upselling additional repairs or maintenance to enhance customer satisfaction and department revenue
- Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and ensure a positive service experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer retention
- Train and mentor junior staff to uphold service standards and technical knowledge
Requirements
- Proven experience in dealership or automotive service environments, with strong knowledge of automotive repair processes
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand vehicle systems and diagnostics
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor
- Demonstrated sales ability, including upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
- Experience with cash handling and financial transactions accurately
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, technicians, and management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience as a Service Advisor or Store Manager in an automotive dealership or repair shop is highly preferred
