The Finance analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our reported financial position and results by ensuring payroll and benefits, gift cards and inter-company transactions are properly reconciled and recorded. The Finance analyst is also responsible for the preparation of the of the external pension plan statements.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Prepare pension plan financial statements, disclosure and supplemental information for pension committee
Prepare and analyze supplementary information schedules for the financial statements
Support the planning and analysis team in the interpretation of financial results and assist in the preparation of budgets and forecast as required
Act as liaison with external auditors as required during the financial statements and pension plan audit
Responsible for the issuance, reporting and analysis of promotional gift cards
Prepare monthly financial reconciliations related to benefits, gift cards and inter-company transactions
Prepare month end journal entries and accruals related to benefits, gift cards, inter-company transactions, store transactions and petty cash.
Follow up DB pension remittance for Great West to make sure is up-to-date and current
Support Finance Manager with additional ad-hoc analysis, reports, and special projects as necessary
Support Corporate account with daily tasks and entries as necessary

The ideal candidate:
Accounting or Finance Degree/Diploma
Professional accountancy designation (CGA, CMA, CA)
6+ years of relevant work experience required
Advanced Excel skills required.
Proficient in remaining Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to get things done
Excellent interpersonal skills; a team player who is able to act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required
Confident and effective communication (written & verbal)
Is adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity and change
Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills
Passionate about fashion and luxury retailing
