Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The BI Analyst, Reporting and Analytics will be part of a team focused on meeting the technical deliverables to create and support the reporting and analytical services offered by the broader team to internal clients. The position works to improve the effectiveness of the data management process through increasing automation and implementing efficient data storage and delivery techniques. The individual will assist in the business requirements gathering process and lead data modeling exercises. This role also serves as the department representative on special projects and corporate initiatives. The individual will contribute to the successful delivery of team projects and services.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Business Knowledge Building:
Understand the overall strategic direction of the organization.
Develop an understanding of each business unit’s strategic plan.
Understand the various business processes within Invesco.
Build knowledge of the kinds of data Invesco uses and work closely with other data user groups.
Promote knowledge sharing between team members and best practices exchanges with US reporting team.

Report Management:
Support the implementation and maintenance of business intelligence tools to better facilitate and customize the delivery of information for business decision makers.
Provide technical and data support for both end users of business intelligence tools and customized reports.
Simplify data query and access to shorten report development time for clients.
Develop, test and promote report automation and production that includes the creation of batch files, VBA macros, SQL scripts.
Monitors daily, weekly, monthly scheduled production jobs. Ensures a smooth transition of new jobs to the production cycle.
Support one-time reporting requests as required.

Data Management:
Enrich the data stores in the R&A data environments to ensure data quality, data consistency and standardize definitions.
Maintain and promote the usage of the corporate data warehouse (TA focused data). Participate in the enhancement process, continuously meeting the changing needs of the organization.
Maintains and manages dimensional and staging tables supporting data warehouse and data mart environments.
Design and maintain the analytical data-sets that are directly used by team members.
Participate in data modeling exercises through from conceptual schema to logical schema and assist with physical schema (when required)
Analyze Entity Relationship (ER) diagram of new database/schema and transfer knowledge back to R & A team

Performance Measurement Systems:
Build and manage reporting framework that aligns strategic goals, management decisions, and individual performances through linkage metrics and cascading reports.
Contribute in the implementation of strategy mapping and scorecard deployments to provide an integrated perspective on goals, targets, and measures of progress.
Develop a series of reporting tools in collaboration with internal clients to support the evaluation and measurement of their strategic direction as well as tactical performances.

Special Projects:
Participate as a key member on corporate initiatives to support business case development, data reporting, and any other analysis as required.
Leverage correlations between organization and departmental performance to assist business units in developing new strategies to improve performance on these measures.
Provide solutions for technology implementation or business processes using a micro and macro perspective.

Work Experience / Knowledge:
Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting tools such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Oracle, PowerShell and MS/SQL.
2-5 years of experience in the mutual fund industry preferred
Familiarity with project management techniques.
Strong MS Office skills – in particular, advanced knowledge (VBA programming) of MS Excel.

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

Post-secondary education in business, statistics, accounting, IT related field or combination of education, training, and experience that would provide the necessary skills and abilities.

Working Conditions:
Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, and temperatures.
The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary.
Normally works a regular schedule of hours; however, hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.
Requires working with remote team.
