AcuTruss Industries is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Structural Designer to join our Kelowna team.

With five sales offices and three manufacturing facilities throughout the province, AcuTruss combines industry experience with a strong commitment to quality, service, and innovation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, working with customers, and seeing their designs become real products. Experience is an asset, but we are willing to provide in-house training and practical experience in our manufacturing facility to the right candidate.
What You'll Do
As a Structural Designer, your responsibilities will include:
- Design and detail structural wood components using MiTek Sapphire/Structure and related software
- Designing roof trusses for residential, commercial, and agricultural projects
- Designing engineered floor joist systems
- Designing structural wood beams, including LVL, Glulam, and PSL
- Designing steel beams
- Designing and supplying Nudura ICF systems
- Designing wall panels
- Preparing quotations and producing orders for manufacturing
- Reviewing plans and interpreting architectural and structural drawings
- Coordinating product deliveries and project requirements
- Communicating professionally with customers by phone, email, and text
- Working closely with sales, production, engineering, and other team members
- Managing multiple projects while meeting deadlines and customer expectations

Education & Experience
A Civil Engineering Technology diploma or Red Seal Carpenter certification is preferred but not required.
Experience in structural design, construction, framing, building materials, drafting, or engineered wood products would be considered an asset.
