Position Summary
The On-Site Operator supports daily field operations at our Hanna production site. This role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining equipment, optimizing well performance, and collecting/reporting production data. This position follows a 7‑on / 7‑off rotational schedule.
Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to)
1. Monitoring & Control: Monitorpressures, temperatures, rates, and equipment status
2. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, minor repairs, and maintenance documentation
3. Production Optimization: Maintain a log book to track production trends and operating conditions to improve well performance
4. Safety & Environmental Protection: Ensure HSE standards and report safety hazards; participate in safety meetings, inspections, emergency response exercises, and incident investigations as required
5. Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment issues and instrumental faults
6. Communication & Reporting: Record production data and communicate with field staff in both English and Chinese
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Technical diploma, engineering degree, power engineering certification, petroleum technology diploma, or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to work a 7‑on / 7‑off rotation in a remote field environment
- Fluent in English and Chinese
- Required oilfield tickets : First Aid, H2S Alive, Fall Protection
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Compensation: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $18 to $25 CAD. Actual total compensation may differ based on qualifications and location.
