Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor robotic welding systems for steel fabrication.
- Load, position, and secure steel components
- Set up welding machines, fixtures, wire, gas, and welding parameters according to production requirements.
- Verify robot programs and make basic parameter adjustments when required.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of robotic welding equipment.
- Replace welding wire, contact tips, nozzles, and other consumable components.
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment and work areas.
- Use measuring tools and welding inspection equipment as required.
- Follow production schedules and maintain required production rates.
- Complete production and quality documentation.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with welders, machine operators, maintenance personnel, and supervisors.
- Report equipment problems, quality issues, or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience operating robotic welding equipment is preferred.
- Experience with steel welding and fabrication.
- Ability to read and understand welding drawings and shop drawings.
- Knowledge of MIG welding processes is an asset.
- Basic understanding of welding parameters such as voltage, amperage, wire speed, and gas flow.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to safely lift and handle steel components.
- Previous experience with robotic welding programming or teach pendants is an asset.
Pay: $29.00-$30.00 per hour
