Duties
- Safely operate roll off trucks to transport and unload large waste containers at designated sites
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load, secure, and unload waste containers efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, loads, and service reports for operational tracking
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pick-up schedules and address any issues
- Perform heavy lifting when handling containers or equipment as needed during daily operations
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies to promote a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in driving heavy trucks or similar vehicles with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, precision, and adherence to traffic regulations
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation, and safety compliance
