Position Summary
The Employment & Outreach Specialist supports individuals impacted by sexual exploitation and human trafficking in accessing safe employment, and economic opportunities. The position combines community outreach with employment readiness and job placement support.
The Specialist builds relationships with individuals currently experiencing or at risk of sexual exploitation and connects them to CEASE services, while also helping participants develop employment skills, access training opportunities, and secure sustainable employment.
This role works closely with community agencies, employers, and service providers to reduce barriers to employment and support long-term economic stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized employment coaching and career planning.
- Administer set workshop on Employment
- Building trusting relationships with individuals who may be disconnected in the community.
- Develop relationships with employers who are willing to provide safe and supportive employment opportunities.
- Maintain accurate case notes and participant records.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Social Work, Human Services, Community Development, or related field.
Experience
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly individuals impacted by exploitation, trafficking, homelessness, or gender-based violence.
- Experience in employment counseling, job development, or workforce development programs.
- Experience in community outreach.
- Understand trauma-informed and survivor-centered practice.
- Knowledge of barriers faced by individuals exiting exploitation.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
