What You’ll Be Doing

The Finance and Reporting Officer (FRO) is responsible for compensation calculation, collection, and reporting for all CIBC Trust services across Canada. In addition, the FRO participated in various other projects and assignments affecting CIBC Trust that are Bank-wide initiatives or department specific to meet regulatory, audit, risk and finance requirements.

How You’ll Succeed
Estate & Trust Acumen – Expand professional knowledge by keeping abreast of Estates & Trusts legislative changes, jurisprudence and shifting industry trends.
Finance and Reporting - Responsible for all aspects of manual fee calculation and collection at CIBC Trust. Maintain automated fees for all accounts. Ensure that appropriate fee codes are set-up at the time of account opening. Create new fee codes as required. Reconcile fee for new accounts, annually and before account closure (for all accounts). Review and approval of account opening package information and documentation to ensure that it satisfies all applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. Preparation of monthly financial reporting including new business, revenue and partner referrals reporting to Finance, Sales and Management
Operational Support - Coordinate, review and approve the preparation of court accounts by third parties, working closely with the responsible Trust Officer and Trust Administrator. Participate in and provide trust training sessions to staff as needed.

Who You Are
You have a post-secondary degree or equivalent experience, preferably in finance or accounting
You have previous experience working for a financial institution or other business with Finance and Audit departments
You are highly skilled with Excel and Word.
