Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled bicycle/e-bike mechanic who can handle basic repairs, services, tune-ups, builds etc. on a variety of bicycles, e-bikes, and scooter. This position will also require customer service and shop upkeep responsibilities as well.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on bikes, e-bikes, and scooters.
- Handle customer inquiries and communicate effectively and enthusiatiscally
- Track repairs and customer drop offs/pick ups in company system
- Pick up customer phone calls
- Learn about our retail offering and effectively sell e-bikes/scooters to customers who are interested
- Help customers checkout, complete payments, financing applications, bike pick-ups etc.
- Maintain in-house fleet of ebikes/scooters; rebuild old bikes
- Maintain clean shop (clean tools, empty garbage, sweep floors, wipe down inventory, charge bikes, organize parts etc.)
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
