At JBS Equipment, we're looking for a hands-on Maintenance & Mechanical Repair Technician to join our team in Mission, BC.
The right person would be someone that is mechanically inclined and an all around experienced handyman. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment in our facility, including our fabrication and manufacturing shop. This includes everything from employee tools and forklifts to welding machines, compressors, and more.

Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on shop tools, forklifts, welding machines, air compressors, cranes, and more
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Maintain and repair general facility systems (lighting, plumbing, air systems, doors, etc.)
- Arrange and coordinate third party equipment service and inspections
- Support production with supply and management of equipment and shop consumables
- Keep maintenance records and plan repair work to reduce shop downtime
- Ensure shop areas, tools, and equipment are kept in safe working order
- Support safety and cleanliness across the facility
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 year experience in a similar role or comparable experience
- Strong ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Organized, with strong communication skills
- Millwright, including red seal or apprentices, are an asset
- Previous supervisory experience and skills are an asset
Working Conditions:
- Work takes place both indoors and outdoors
- Daily standing, walking, and use of ladders or tools
- Exposure to grease, oil, hydraulic fluid, paint, dust, and loud noise
- PPE required in shop areas
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, either 6am-2:30pm or 7am-3:30pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00-$43.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
