Unionville College is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Marketing & Social Media Assistant, you will work closely with the Marketing team to support the UC brand, campaigns, partnerships, and marketing needs across a range of social accounts including Instagram, RED, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. Your role will involve contributing to social media initiatives, providing cross-functional support to various brand initiatives, and enhancing our online presence to increase enrollment through key social media channels.
We’re looking for a social media superstar who lives and breathes social trends! You combine a creator’s enthusiasm for creating viral brand content with a sociologist’s curiosity to understand online Parent communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize marketing tools (e.g., Google Data Studio, Google Analytics) and native social media tools (e.g., Facebook Creator Studio, Facebook Business Manager, RED and TikTok) to distribute organic social media content, compile key metrics, and help develop regular reports for Administration.
- Oversee the optimization of links for tracking purposes.
- Monitor mentions of UC across social media platforms, respond to frequently asked questions, and escalate any risks to brand or user safety to the applicable team.
- Source user-generated content and collaborate with our Marketing team to create engaging social media content.
- Assist with the organization of digital assets, maintenance of the content calendar, fulfillment of virtual open house events, and project briefing to the Creative Team.
- Stay updated on social trends, tools, best practices, and emerging platforms; source user-generated content that can engage our parent audience.
- Assist with the creation and editing of marketing materials.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and are able to tailor your writing for key audiences
- You have demonstrated success using social media channels and have a point of view on which brands are doing amazing work in social
- You have an instinct for knowing what visuals will work for social -- and may have even edited or created your own (with tools like Canva, or Photoshop, etc.)
- You are comfortable with data and can glean learning and insights from numbers -- you can calculate click-through rates, conversion rates and engagement rates with ease
All applicants are asked to share a portfolio of your work that includes but is not limited to examples showcasing content created on social media. This can include examples of social media campaigns you have managed or content you have created for various social media platforms.
