Sales Executive - Fixed Networking & IOT Solutions

(internal title: Solution Specialist)

In this exciting opportunity, the Solution Specialist Fixed Networking & IoT will be responsible for delivering results by building integrated customized solutions for clients using standard products. The Product Specialist will be able to effectively position Rogers and present a strong value proposition. As a successful Product Specialist, you will build on your entrepreneurial spirit and OWN the Sales Execution program which will meet and/or exceed defined revenue targets supporting the overall company objectives.

Responsibilities Include:
Achieve defined sales objectives of Enterprise Business Unit Large Enterprise for next generation products (Network Internet, Ethernet, Private networks, IP voice , MPLS and Professional Services) and IOT Solutions (M2M, Fleet, Asset Tracking, Sensors)
Qualify opportunities that are identified by Account Executives (AE) in line with Rogers long term growth strategy
Create a details execution program with defined tactics to leverage effectively through Rogers Account executives
Work strategically with the AE, leveraging your knowledge to promote and win business in competitive situations
In conjunction with the AE, create and execute an overall Territory Plan comprised of specific coverage initiatives to achieve defined KPIs
Create innovative proposals and deliver strategic sales presentations
Initiate and develop migration plans with legacy services customers to ensure a rapid and effective transition to Rogers next generation network services. Assist in timely execution of all contract renewals
Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in accounts, specifically at the executive decision making level
Clearly communicate the value of the solution to the prospective customer and promote the benefits of and endorse Rogers in collaboration with the AE. Thoughtfully differentiate Rogers against the competition in each opportunity
In the role of the Product Expert, actively participate in discovery meetings, reviewing the customer’s technical requirements using a consultative approach
Work closely with AE & Solution Engineering to propose, design, price and close qualified opportunities. Leverage all Rogers resources to help with design and document the best possible Rogers solution(s) based on the customer requirements (business, budgetary and technical)
Ensure that all opportunities, processes and procedures are completed and tracked through Rogers CRM (Salesforce.com). Record/document all requirements and outcomes from meetings
Negotiate pricing to ensure profitable margins. Follow the process for escalation of non-standard pricing to internal executives as required
Review all major deliverables (i.e. strategic brief, function spec, tech spec, etc.) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.

Qualifications:
A track record of results in direct sales in multiple segments and verticals
A consistent sales overachiever who is results driven and customer focused
A Strong technical background in Network and Carrier services and/or Internet of Things (IOT) is an asset
The ideal candidate must be able to integrate standard product offerings to create customized client solutions, or differentiate Rogers standard products relative to competition in situations where the customer chooses to act as a self-integrator
Consultative Sales individual who can complete business cases to support customers in the decision making processes
Proven ability to develop and foster senior-level relationships
Excellent presentation, negotiation, contract and organizational skills
An effective communicator, demonstrating poise and confidence with customers
Superior skillset for C-Level presentations and negotiations
Comfortable and resilient in working in a continuous, fast-paced and changing industry

Technical Requirements

Technical leadership: Experience leading diverse teams in the planning and/or delivery of IT projects
This position requires experience with IT related financial estimation preferably with models that calculate total service costs for labour & technology.
A successful candidate must be able to ascertain requirements and lead an initiative through to a solution vision based on infrastructure standards. This will involve development and evaluation of high-level designs incorporating diverse infrastructure technologies.

Initiative: Proactively identifies present and future obstacles, issues, and opportunities. Takes actions to address such obstacles.
Innovation: Motivated to improve organizational performance through the introduction of new ideas, methods, processes, products, or services. Develops new ways of looking at a situation.
Oral and Written Communications: Ability to express oneself and communicate with others verbally - it includes tone, style and structure and the ability to produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, organization of thought and orderliness of presentation.
Relationship management: Proven ability to successfully achieve results with complex customer and vendor relationships.

Experience & Education

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
5-7 years’ experience IT/Telecommunications architecture and planning - ability to produce IT solutions, both independently and collaboratively.
Experience dealing with outsourced IT relationships
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle is a MUST
