This job involves working in the dock areas and receiving incoming ingredients, order picking, palletizing finished goods, Shipping coordination, performing sampling duties, scanning, and placing incoming ingredients in racks.
- Requires attention to detail for Order Picking, Labelling, and General Shipping
- Accurately pick and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly selected and packed according to customer specifications.
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, documenting/reporting any discrepancies or damages.
- Stage incoming goods in designated areas, checking for accuracy and quality before storage or distribution.
- Label all items and packages with accurate shipping and product information, ensuring labels are clear and properly affixed.
- Place orders on skids and wrap them securely, adhering to Bills of Lading and shipping standards to prevent damage during transit.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient shipping and receiving operations, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Follow Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards, ensuring all processes comply with SQF requirements and maintaining accountability for responsibilities outlined in SQF process flows.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities, including Bills of Lading and inventory logs, and ensure documentation is properly filed.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, monitor stock levels, reconcile discrepancies, and report any issues to management to ensure accurate inventory control.
- Handle packages and shipments weighing up to approximately 55 lbs safely, using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment to prevent injury and ensure efficient processing.
- Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized audit ready work environment, and follow guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned by management.
- Coordinate shipping arrangements based on business needs, including supporting shipment scheduling, carrier coordination, and ensuring timely movement of products while working closely with the Logistics Coordinator.
- Provide support to the Logistics Coordinator position by assisting with transportation coordination, shipment follow-ups, tracking information, and resolving shipping-related issues to maintain smooth logistics operations
Required:
- Must have High School education or equivalent
- Shows a high regard for safety and the environment
- Previous forklift experience and license for counterbalance truck
- Minimum 1 -2 years as a Full-time Shipping & Receiving experience
- Basic computer / knowledge of RF scanners
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Good mathematical aptitude for conversion of (kg/Lbs)
- Ability to perform manual lifting: loading and unloading tanks
Preferred:
Oracle or any other ERP system experience preferred
Pay: $21.00 per hour
