Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily meal preparation, including portion control and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service times.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Participate in menu development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and meal preparation methods.
