Why is this role important?
In this role, you will be working with a team of self-motivated and well-respected team members who help drive the strategic direction of Human Resources (HR) functions across multiple business units within the organization. As a HR Summer Student, you will be required to administratively and tactically support various HR functions and programs, including Company-wide strategic initiatives. The incumbent will report to the Director of Human Resources for No Frills.
What You'll Do:
Gain experiential education while working with a highly engaged HR team that values diverse ideas and fosters a culture of inclusion;
Resolve necessary payroll inquiries, updating colleague information in Workday, submitting IT tickets as required
Headcount review, tracking, and updating org charts
Provide administrative support and assist with the tactical deployment of key HR initiatives currently underway
Colleague Engagement Survey: adhoc reporting, score carding, crafting presentation decks, participation update emails, analysis and recommendations, and all other admin support
Admin support for training sessions – Lunch & Learn Workshops
Assist Director/Sr. Director’s and HRBP’s with all other research, analysis and implementation of programs, root cause analysis and identifying solutions, reports, projects, and crafting presentation decks as required
All other admin support as required
Continuing your education by completing some of Loblaw’s great e-learning courses, attending workshops, training and seminars
What You'll Need:
Enrolled in post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources and obtained (or working towards) HR Management Certification
Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information
Solid computer skills required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written, verbal, listening skills)
Highly organized and has a high degree of attention to detail
Strong analytical skills and superior ability to problem-solve
