WVL Centre Society provides education support to learners K-12 through our 9-3 day program and our expanding tutoring program. The tutoring program overlaps with the day program and continues to 5:30, and Saturday 9:00 - 1:00. We are looking to hire 3 individuals who would enjoy working with students of varying ages in a 1-1 . We will be teaming our new hires with qualified teachers to provide direction for the tutoring sessions and to train new staff.
Eligible candidates will possess the followiing skills, experiences, and /or abilities:
* ability to work as a team member under the guidance of specialized educator teacher
* ability to engage with youth who are not confident in their skills and/or have defensive behaviours
* prior experience with supporting learners in a variety of subjects areas but primarily focusing on literacy and numeracy
* prior experience supporting home learners OR employment as an Education Assistant or education careers
* ability to provide documentation using MS Office applications
* personally has a love of learning

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
