At BPA, we continue to grow across Canada through the integration of new entities and the expansion of our services. To support this evolution, we are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Supervisor who is passionate about process improvement, operational excellence, and team leadership.
Reporting to management, you will play a key role in overseeing payroll and benefits operations while contributing to the integration of new entities, the optimization of systems, and the continuous improvement of processes.
You will lead a team of three and work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure accurate payroll processing, efficient systems, and an exceptional employee experience.
Your role
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of three people.
- Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of payroll cycles across multiple entities.
- Play a key role in integrating newly acquired entities into the organization's payroll processes and systems.
- Harmonize and standardize payroll and benefits practices across business units.
- Act as a subject matter expert for complex payroll, benefits, and compliance-related matters.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and Operations teams to ensure seamless payroll administration and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline payroll processes.
- Ensure data integrity between Dayforce and other financial and operational systems.
- Produce, analyze, and enhance payroll-related reports, including vacation balances, benefits, time banks, and management reporting.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of payroll systems, controls, and best practices.

What we're looking for
- University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- PCP or Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification (or equivalent payroll designation).
- Minimum of 6 to 8 years of full-cycle payroll experience.
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team coordination experience.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing payroll in a multi-entity or national environment.
- Experience with Dayforce or a comparable integrated payroll system.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, entity integrations, or process harmonization is considered a strong asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required.*
- English is essential due to the shared service and to maintain an acceptable ratio among the incumbents of certain positions in order to ensure effective coordination and service offering within the organization.
