Job Summary
Western Weather Protector Ltd. is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Junior Project Coordinator to join our commercial roofing team. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, this role provides support throughout all phases of project delivery—from contract award through project closeout.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in construction. This is an entry-level position with a strong emphasis on administrative and project coordination responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and organize project job files upon contract award.
- Assist with project setup and contract administration.
- Coordinate crew travel arrangements, including hotel bookings and accommodations.
- Track and maintain Living Out Allowance (LOA) records for field employees.
- Coordinate site logistics, including portable toilets, fencing, waste bins, and equipment rentals.
- Review project specifications, drawings, contracts, and tender documents.
- Prepare, submit, and track submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals.
- Coordinate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Assist with pricing, tracking, and processing change orders.
- Maintain organized project documentation and filing systems.
- Track project schedules, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Assist with procurement and material ordering.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to Construction/Project Managers and Superintendent.
- Coordinate warranty documentation and project closeout packages.
- Ensure project records are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- The position is based out of our St.Albert, Alberta office.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in construction coordination, project administration, or a related field is considered an asset but is not required.
- Previous construction industry experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
