Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Taxi Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to manage time effectively. This role offers an opportunity to serve the community while maintaining a flexible schedule, primarily during daytime hours. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, with experience in commercial driving preferred.
Duties
- Safely operate taxis to transport passengers to their destinations promptly and courteously
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Navigate city streets efficiently using GPS or traditional maps to meet scheduled pickups and drop-offs
- Handle cash transactions accurately, providing receipts when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle to ensure a professional appearance
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety at all times
- Manage scheduling and coordinate pickups to optimize routes and reduce wait times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch or customers regarding pickup locations or delays
Skills
- Proven experience in driving, preferably in commercial or taxi services
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong time management abilities to adhere to schedules and meet passenger expectations
- Ability to navigate urban areas efficiently using GPS technology or local knowledge
- Cash handling skills for processing fares accurately and providing change as needed
- Good communication skills for interacting with passengers and dispatch personnel
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; additional certifications or endorsements are a plus
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations responsibly
Pay: $0.14-$1,000.00 per week
