Lorac Construction Ltd. is a general contractor operating in Edmonton and surrounding area for over 46 years. We are currently looking for thoughtful, skilled tradespeople to join our close-knit team of professionals. We offer long-term, year-round work on a variety of commercial construction projects in the Edmonton area (no out of town work) and provide a safety-oriented team environment with opportunities for advancement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal journeyperson carpenter’s ticket required
- Minimum three (3) years experience in commercial construction
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Ability to pass a physical assessment, security clearance and drug/alcohol testing, as required for client pre-access screening
- Valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record
- Must have your own small hand tools in good working condition
- Cooperative team attitude
- Willingness to commit to continuous learning, teaching and personal growth within a team environment
Skills:
- Ability to use general construction tools and equipment
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Concrete and forming experience an asset
- Wood framing experience an asset
- Door and hardware experience an asset
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to organize, direct and control on-site construction
- Work well with a team of co-workers and subcontractors
- Assist with maintaining a tidy and safe work environment for all personnel and the public
- Ensuring safety procedures are being followed and in place
- Actively participate in safety reporting, daily site records and other documentation
- Ability to oversee day-to-day field activities as required.

Typical Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
Pay: $35.60-$44.41 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
