Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CCTV Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting surveillance systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical systems, computer hardware, and networking, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within construction, telecommunication, and security sectors, ensuring the safety and security of client facilities through expert system management.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure CCTV systems, including cameras, sensors, IDS, and related hardware components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute installations.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on existing surveillance systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Work with low voltage wiring, power tools, hand tools, and mechanical knowledge to complete installations effectively.
- Integrate CCTV systems with computer networking and telecommunication infrastructure for seamless operation.
- Conduct system testing and calibration to ensure proper functionality of sensors, alarms, and other security devices.
- Collaborate with construction teams and other technicians during project phases to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Document system configurations and maintenance activities for future reference and compliance.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction documentation.
- Strong electrical experience with low voltage wiring and power tools handling.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components related to surveillance systems.
- Experience with CCTV installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with computer networking principles relevant to security systems integration.
- Mechanical knowledge for mounting cameras and sensors securely in various environments.
- Ability to read schematics related to telecommunication and IDS systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, sensors, and telecommunication equipment.
- Understanding of electrical safety standards and best practices in surveillance system deployment.
This role is integral to maintaining high-security standards across client sites by ensuring surveillance systems are installed correctly and operate reliably. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong technical foundation in electrical systems, networking, and mechanical installation techniques.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
