Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared to perfection and delivered promptly to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines while handling food and operating kitchen equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is required.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with meal preparation processes and kitchen equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
