Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate person to join our healthcare team. This position would work closely with our current physician group, administration team, and RPN in a capacity to assist with patient care within the office. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various office settings, specifically in assisting with the day to day running of a specialized surgical office including patient preparation, EMR management, and coordinating for specialized urologic testing such as PVR/Uroflow ect. This role requires a strong foundation in communication, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with care services to diverse patient populations, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing with the coordination of specialized urologic testing (PVR/Uroflow/ect)
- Assist with chart preparation
- Assist with patient mobility if needed
- Document patient information meticulously using electronic health record (Accuro)
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Help provide specialized care for patients with a specific focus on Urologic health
- Provide Patients with needed care instructions from the clinic
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and safety standards at all times
- Participate in case management activities to coordinate care With the multidisciplinary team.
Skills
- Proven experience in clinical setting is an asset
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is an asset
- A base understanding of urology is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations including children and elderly patients
- Ability to work effectively within a team while demonstrating independence in clinical tasks
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
