Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, managing project timelines, and ensuring successful project execution. This role requires strong expertise in construction estimating, project management, and negotiation, with proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. The Estimator/Project Manager will collaborate closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, contributing to the growth and reputation of our company.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using Bluebeam and HeavyBid software.
- Prepare detailed pricing and cost analysis to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.
- Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Manage multiple projects from inception through completion, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget oversight.
- Coordinate with design teams and clients to clarify project scope and resolve any discrepancies or issues during the estimating process.
- Monitor project progress, track costs, and adjust estimates as needed to reflect changes or unforeseen conditions.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with company standards.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials and services efficiently.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials costs, and new estimating tools or techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, HeavyBid or similar estimating software.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
- Excellent understanding of construction processes, materials pricing, and project scheduling.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in construction estimating.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory depending on experience.
