We are preparing our Notice of Intention to Operate application with the Ontario Ministry of Education and are seeking a visionary Founding Principal to guide the school through its launch phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and submission of the Notice of Intention to Operate a Private School to the Ontario Ministry of Education.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry standards and policies related to staffing, curriculum, and student records.
- Develop the academic framework and curriculum aligned with the Ontario Curriculum-Grade 9-12th.
- Establish operational policies for attendance, safety, and student management.
- Advise on facility readiness, including health and fire inspections.
- Recruit and support qualified teachers and staff.
- Engage with parents, students, and community stakeholders to build a strong educational culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education (required).
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience and 2+ years in school administration (Vice-Principal, Principal, or Head of School role).
- Experience with private school operations or Ministry inspections (preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with a startup mindset and flexibility.
Position Details:
- Type: Part-Time / Contract (Consulting basis – 10–20 hours per week initially)
- Compensation: Competitive, based on experience (hourly or project-based)
- Location: Greater Toronto Area (hybrid – some remote work possible)
- Start Date: Immediate / November 2025
