The organization manages approximately 87 residential units ("doors") throughout Saskatoon and is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Professional to join their team. What You'll Do
As a key member of the property management team, you will be responsible for maintaining residential properties to a high standard while providing exceptional service to tenants.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting move-in and move-out inspections
- Completing unit turnovers and preparing suites for new residents
- Performing annual unit inspections, including smoke and carbon monoxide detector checks
- Responding to and completing maintenance work orders efficiently
- Coordinating and overseeing contractors as required
- Managing maintenance budgets and departmental priorities
- Performing seasonal property maintenance including:
- Snow removal and ice control during winter months
- Lawn care and grounds maintenance during summer
- Monitoring and coordinating sprinkler and weed-control programs
- Communicating effectively with tenants, contractors, and property management personnel
Required Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in several of the following areas:
- Carpentry and general repairs
- Drywall prep, taping, mudding, and painting
- Light plumbing, including toilet and faucet repairs/replacements
- Basic electrical work such as replacing switches, outlets, and light fixtures
- Small appliance repair (refrigerators and stoves)
- Basic knowledge of furnaces and water heaters
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and prioritizing multiple projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Own truck is considered a strong asset
- Ability to lift, carry, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
