The Program – Triveri House
Triveri House is a Permanent Supportive Housing complex for young people (18-29) experiencing chronic homelessness. Adhering to a Harm Reduction model, the program works with the young adults to create stability and overall wellbeing in their lives. The program is targeted to open in October 2020.
The Position – Program Supervisor
This position will be based at Triveri House and will include direct involvement and support of the program team, tenants, and community stakeholders. This position will be part of the Enviros leadership team and will ensure that day-to-day operations follow program protocols and Enviros policy. The supervisor will support the manager in maintaining working relationships with community members and stakeholders.
The Supervisor will lead the team to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all tenants. The supervisor will be accountable for ensuring that all staffing, training and supervision requirements are met, and that all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting is completed based on Calgary Homeless Foundation requirements.
The Supervisor will be a strong support for the team and will have experience in working with young adults at risk of homelessness. The supervisor will have a very good understanding of trauma and be able to advocate for tenants while training and supporting staff members to be able to meet the needs of the tenants. The supervisor will be onsite to identify and address potential safety issues for tenants and staff.
For Consideration Applicants Will Need to Demonstrate the Following
- A degree or diploma in related field of study
- As the program leader, the ideal candidate would have 3 – 5 years of experience in working with youth and young adults who may be at risk of facing homelessness
- A current criminal record check including vulnerable sector (completed within the last 6 months)
- A current Alberta Intervention Record check (completed within the last 6 months)
- A current First Aid and CPR/AED ‘C’ certificate
- A Class 4 or 5 Driver’s License (Class 5 GDL will not be accepted)
Salary: $56,000 - $67,000 annually
