We are currently seeking a full time qualified ophthalmic assistant/technician to join our dynamic team at our location in Oakville. The successful candidate will be responsible for offering quality customer service by applying the techniques associated with their area of focus and ensure that business guidelines and a high level of patient care is always maintained. Organization, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure, are among the qualities needed for this fast paced working environment. This position will require a flexible schedule (early morning starts, late afternoons). The duties associated with this position are as follows, but not limited to reception and administrative duties, preliminary history taking, visual acuity testing, diagnostic testing (OCT, fundus photography, visual field testing) and tonometry. We provide competitive compensation. The successful candidate requires a minimum of 1 year experience in an ophthalmology/optometry setting.
