We’re based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 16 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites.
We are currently looking for a full-time Warehouse Team Leader located in Kitchener, reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager/ Warehouse Supervisor.
Your Challenge:
Under the supervision of the Warehouse and Distribution Manager/ Warehouse Supervisor, the duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Team Leader include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure that the Warehouse Supervisor is aware of warehouse activities, problems and concerns.
- Delegating and assigning tasks for employees.
- Ensure efficiency of all warehouse employees.
- Coordinate workflow with employees.
- Operate equipment and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures.
- Maintain inventory levels by physical inventory, computer inventory and daily production reports.
- Ensure inventory is tagged and recorded properly when shipped.
- Resolve shipping issues and problems.
- Handle relevant administrative duties i.e. receiving’s and bills of lading are correctly completed daily.
- Ensure the proper functioning of all warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Always Follow and promote health and safety policies and procedures; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications:
- Completion of a secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 – 3 years’ warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of paper, graphic arts, and industrial products an asset.
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
- Ability to foster high morale, enthusiasm, and teamwork.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Electric walkie certificate.
- Valid forklift certificate.
- WHMIS and T.G.D. certifications; and
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Requires personal protective equipment.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals; and
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work and periodic flexible shift changes (i.e. vacation coverage, etc.)
