JKCE Probuild Contracting Corp. is a growing general contractor specializing in residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use construction projects throughout British Columbia. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Ironworker to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Install and erect structural steel, miscellaneous metals, stairs, handrails, guardrails, and other steel components.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Position, align, and secure steel members using rigging equipment, aerial lifts, and hand tools.
- Bolt, weld, and fasten steel components as required.
- Assist with unloading, handling, and organizing materials on site.
- Coordinate with the Site Superintendent and other trades to complete work safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area while following company policies and WorkSafeBC regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of ironworking or structural steel installation experience.
- Ability to read construction drawings and layout information.
- Experience using rigging equipment, aerial lifts, and common power and hand tools.
- Fall Protection certification is required.
- Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) certification is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence and reliable transportation are preferred.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- Overtime as required
- Occasional travel to project sites throughout British Columbia may be required
Pay: $26.00-$40.00 per hour
