If a builder does not meet their warranty commitments, Tarion offers guidance to help homeowners ensure they receive the coverage they're entitled to, and when necessary, steps in to help resolve warranty claims.
This is a hybrid role requiring working two (2) days in the office and three (3) days remotely, per week. (All remote work must be completed from your home office within the province of Ontario.)
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible to lead the delivery of our onboarding program and contract employee staffing program, as well as playing an important role in the delivery of our benefits, pension, training and employee communications programs. Your leadership will drive employee engagement, retention, and foster an excellent employee experience where employees can do their best work.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver Tarion's employee onboarding program. This involves coordination of new employee pre-start activities, delivering orientation, facilitating employee onboarding plans, monitoring new employee feedback and making adjustments to maintain a best-in-class program

Support a variety of employee benefit programs including enrollment, tracking, record keeping, and delivery of employee benefits and pension training
- Ensure all required employee records are collected, maintained, and updated as required

Act as the key point of contact for agency contract employees through the employment lifecycle

Manage the relationship with temporary staffing firms and agencies
- Assist the Human Resources team with the recruitment process as needed
- Participate in various compensation related surveys, including data management and submissions

Compile and analyze data to prepare monthly HR metric reports, compensation analysis reports, and executive briefings

Support the delivery of all Human Resources policies and related procedures
- Support the Human Resources Managers at the Position Evaluation Committee
- Participate in the Tarion Cares corporate social responsibility committee
A great candidate for this position will have:
- Post-secondary degree/certificate program in Human Resources Management, or equivalent education and/or experience
- 3+ years of experience as Human Resources Generalist or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of various employment legislation
- Proactive and process -oriented working style, with strong attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation, demonstrated results orientation and excellent time management skills are integral to success in this role
- Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of Dayforce or a related HR management system is preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Adaptability to changing demands and conditions
- Data analysis and data modelling skills
- Self-motivation demonstrated throughout his/her career and the ability to multitask effectively.
