Job Summary:
Healthcheck Pharmacy is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time Pharmacist to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Evaluate prescriptions to ensure they are appropriate, safe and effective for patients
- Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications
- Provide medication counselling to patients regarding proper usage and potential side effects
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to recommend changes for improved patient outcomes
- Monitor patient health and progress to ensure positive results
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles
- Develop comprehensive care plans, conduct follow-ups, and document them accordingly
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards
Requirements:
- Have a valid Pharmacist license for practice in Alberta
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective patient care
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and dedication to delivering outstanding pharmacy services
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience in community pharmacy is preferred, although recent grads are also encouraged to apply
- Demonstrates proactive initiative and exercises independent judgment effectively
- Additional Prescribing Authority preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid injection certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Kroll system preferred
