Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Taper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying joint compound, taping, and finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Duties
- Apply joint compound (mud) to drywall seams, corners, and fastener holes with precision and efficiency
- Tape drywall joints using paper or fiberglass mesh tape to ensure a secure finish
- Sand and smooth finished surfaces to achieve a flawless appearance suitable for painting or other finishes
- Caulk edges, corners, and joints to enhance durability and aesthetic appeal
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications
- Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other trades to coordinate finishing tasks effectively
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal throughout the project
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall taping, finishing, or related construction roles
- Strong knowledge of construction painting, caulking, and general carpentry skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Hands-on handyman experience with various repair and finishing tasks preferred
- Construction experience including drywall installation, painting, or related trades is highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently
