The Experience Management Supervising Associate is a member of the Assurance Experience Management Team contributing to the goals of maximum deployment of our practitioners and comprehensive project staffing for delivery of our engagements. They manage and develop timely resource deployment solutions for their local client base; manage the talent supply (workforce planning) and demand (manage flow of work for the small business group); develop expertise and knowledge of professional staff skill sets and project requirements; analyse utilization data and deployment information and participate in developing and facilitating resource deployment strategies.
Your key responsibilities
As an Experience Management, Supervising Associate you’ll assign appropriate client service personnel to engagements by accessing information presented, reviewing options available and presenting recommendations based on area policies and client requirements (complexity of engagement, continuity, expertise required, etc.) Challenge hours and personnel scheduled as appropriate to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Skills and attributes for success
Meet with Partners, Senior Managers and Managers to discuss staffing requirements for their clients, and to gain an understanding of specific engagement needs and deadlines.
Resolve conflicts with engagement team members to ensure appropriate solutions are identified in a timely manner.
Manage annual planning process
Work with leadership to develop an effective method for managing and tracking the small business files.
Collaborate with Canadian Experience Managers and Montreal Talent Consultant
Participate in performance management meetings for practice personnel
Build relationships and communicate continuously with client servers to identify personal schedule preferences and/or career development opportunities
Regularly communicate with People Leader, counsellors and Talent Consultants regarding headcount activity and any performance issues surfaced by engagement teams.
Review actual and projected utilization, anticipate availability and proactively take action to minimize unassigned time while balancing the workloads of client servers.
Analyze Plan/Retain/Actual to assist in forecasting hours, tracking utilization and monitoring headcount. Raise issues identified to Resource Management leaders and People Leaders.
Appropriately prioritize staffing decisions based on engagement risk, specialization requirements, timing constraints, staffing continuity and geographic considerations.
Identify over and underutilized personnel; be proactive in identifying additional resources to bring utilization in line with their peers.
Negotiate with client serving teams to shift time or create individual availability to meet staffing priorities for the office/area.
To qualify for the role you must have
College education or qualified experience
A minimum of 3 years related experience
Strong analytical skills – detail oriented
Very strong communication skills, both oral and written. Candidate needs to be fluent in French and English.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Proficient at negotiation skills and conflict management
Strong client service focus-responsive to requests maintains a sense of urgency in resolving issues
Possess strong problem solving skills
Flexible in adapting to constantly changing priorities
Possess outstanding teamwork and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with a sense of urgency - able to work independently
Knowledge of Retain software would be considered as an asset
