We are seeking a high caliber finance leader to join our dynamic organization. The right candidate will be a team builder and scaler. The chosen candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that directly impacts our company, and will deliver strategic financial input to senior management. While keenly overseeing the overall accounting process, the successful VP of Finance will play a key role in generating and implementing procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our company.
Drive the AOP process and partner with BU heads to improve the financial decision-making process
Communicate revenue opportunities and research economic trends, analyze internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement
Build, scale, and manage team
Own full transparency over the financial performance of the company
Deliver action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained
Drive effective corporate governance and controls of the organization
Maintain relationships with third parties
Support tax planning and treasury
Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure
Comply with international, federal, provincial, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing compliance, and taking action
Financial managerial experience with SaaS business models and their associated revenue recognition (strongly preferred)
Willingness to roll up sleeves to lead the team
Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Proven financial structuring capabilities
High level of integrity, work ethic, and professionalism
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
High aptitude for prioritizing tasks with fanatical attention to detail
Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
Minimum 10+ years in a senior financial managerial position
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (MBA preferred)
Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CPA preferred)
Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
