ABOUT THE JOB
Long Term Care is a unique experience, when you come to work you are coming into a Resident’s home. Your feedback and input is used to improve our daily practices, and your energy goes a long way to putting smiles on our Residents’ faces. If you were working for us as an RPN, here are some of the things you would have done last week:
- Met with a new Resident and done a comprehensive assessment
- Worked with a multidisciplinary team comprising of dietary personnel, Nurse Practitioners, Doctors, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, among others to help assess the new Resident
- Lead the collaboration of the multidisciplinary team to determine the appropriate treatment, prevent deterioration, and manage pain for the Resident
- Earned a gift card to your favorite restaurant from our rewards program, after taking initiative to complete extra training/learning
- Provided health teaching for the Resident, their family, PSWs, and others on your team
- Drove and supported care goals for other residents in your unit
- Provided supervision and coaching on clinical skills for your teammates
- Applied your understanding of complex wound care beyond just changing dressings, but also assessed and altered the care program to meet your Resident's needs
- And supported your team as needed.
WHAT TO EXPECT
When you apply, if you have your registration in good standing with the CNO, we will try our best to reach out to you within the week (hopefully within a few days). When you’re eligible for benefits, you can expect a variety of them:
- Flexibility in shift scheduling to support your home life
- Full range of Health benefits such as: dental, life insurance and AD&D, vision, physio, and extended healthcare paid 100% by employer (no deductible)
- Pension/RRSP matching
- Tuition reimbursement
- And many Company Events like our Quest-For-Success annual recognition party, team parties, lunches, outings, gift cards, and paid days off
We prioritize promoting from within and support our employees' educational needs because we care for the team we have put together. We come to our workplace each day understanding that we are entering our Residents' Home, and we are there to support them.
