JOB DESCRIPTION – Architect – Intermediate Architect/Designer
Working with a strong team of professionals to support the work of architecture in a busy downtown firm.
We work collaboratively in office Monday through Friday.
Overview
The Intermediate Architect/Architectural Technologist works within the architectural team collaborating with a number of construction professionals, including surveyors and engineers, producing drawings and specifications that the construction team will follow. The Project team works closely with clients and consultants to ensure that designs are functional, safe and produced according to schedules.
Core responsibilities
- Take guidance mentorship from more experienced team members.
- Produce detailed working drawings and specifications.
- Prepare tender applications and presentations.
- Prepare drawings and present ideas for the client to review.
- Follow building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances.
- Prepare information regarding design, structure specifications, materials, colour, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
- Integrate engineering element into unified design.
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma from a recognized Architecture or Architectural Technology program
- Minimum 4 years professional experience with the OBC and Part 3 in particular
- Proficiency with BIM (Archicad preferred)
- Excellent communication and team collaborating skills

Salary Range
- $69,000 - $89,000.00 per year depending on experience
