CastleUp Experience Centre is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Delivery Driver / Mover to join our growing furniture, mattress, and appliance retail team.
This position is ideal for someone with an excellent driving record, a strong work ethic, and the physical ability to safely deliver and move large household items. As the face of our company during customer deliveries, you will play an important role in providing an exceptional delivery experience while ensuring products arrive safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles while following all traffic laws and company safety procedures
- Deliver furniture, mattresses, and appliances to customers throughout the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions
- Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely to prevent damage during transit
- Perform room-of-choice delivery and assist with basic product placement and setup when required
- Inspect products before loading and upon delivery to ensure order accuracy and product condition
- Assemble or install furniture when required
- Communicate professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries
- Complete delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures when required
- Work closely with warehouse and sales staff to ensure efficient order fulfillment
- Assist with loading and unloading incoming shipments when not on delivery routes
- Help maintain clean, organized delivery vehicles and warehouse areas
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues, delivery concerns, or product damages promptly
- Follow all health and safety policies while lifting and moving heavy merchandise
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with an excellent driving record (required)
- Clean driver's abstract that demonstrates safe driving habits
- Previous experience delivering furniture, appliances, moving services, or similar large products is preferred
- Ability to safely lift and move heavy furniture, mattresses, and appliances
- Professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable navigating delivery routes using GPS
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Basic furniture assembly experience is an asset
