We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 5 Ton Truck Drivers to join our logistics team. As we start a new project in Kingston.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and effective communication with team members and clients.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, which may involve heavy lifting and moving of materials.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts for loading and unloading tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and address any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safe driving practices.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as necessary for loading and unloading cargo.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment, including forklifts, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure client satisfaction during deliveries.
- A commitment to safety standards and practices while on the road.

Pay: $28.00-$33.00 per hour
