Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Worker to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our food service establishment by assisting with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food industry standards and a commitment to food safety and quality service.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Serve meals to customers efficiently and courteously in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Ensure all food items are stored correctly according to safety guidelines
- Assist with meal assembly and plating as needed for service
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and cooking methods is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices is desirable
- Experience in the food industry demonstrates an understanding of high-volume meal preparation and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
