We are looking for a friendly, positive, and experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team here at Dixie Animal Hospital in Mississauga.
This is a full time position and applicants must be able to work mornings, evenings and may be required to work some weekends.
Excellent customer service with proficient written and verbal communication skills is a must.
Primary Responsibilities/Qualifications:
-Answering phone calls, checking emails, scheduling appointments, creating estimates, educating clients, assisting the veterinarian, maintaining a clean environment
-Confident with restraining dogs, cats and exotics for blood draw, treatment, vaccines, nail trims etc.
-Routine Animal Care for hospitalized patients
-OSSD required
-One year experience required
Looking for an individual that has a high level of self–motivation and is able to work independently. As well as the ability to tackle the unexpected obstacles that arise in day to day practice.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
