The Four Points by Sheraton Hotel & Suites London, with 180 modern guestrooms and suites, 15,000+ square feet of versatile meeting space and Bentley’s Lounge, is looking for an energetic Reservations Coordinator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while visiting us.
Responsibilities
- Takes reservations both group and transient by phone and/or email
- Co-ordinates with Sales, Catering, Food & Beverage and Housekeeping to ensure smooth flow of accurate information.
- Balancing and managing of group blocks.
- Contacting the group contact two weeks prior to cut-off date with rooming list to date, indicating cut-off date.
- Maintains group files.
- Understands the revenue management system, rate structures and group block management.
- Update revenue management reports.
- Absolute attention to detail to ensure that there are no errors in data entry.
- Weekly inventory check.
- Greets all guests that come into contact with Guest Relations ensuring that the guest name is used at all times.
- Checks guests in and out of the property accurately and in a timely manner.
- Handles guest enquiries and provides information on local attractions and gives directions as required.
- Answers all telephone calls in a professional friendly manner.
- Records guest comments for the information of the Front Office Manager.
Requirements
- Must have 5 years hotel front desk experience.
- Must be located in the London, Ontario region.
- Proven experience as front desk representative, agent or relevant position is an asset.
- Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer etc.).
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
- Available any day of the week including weekends and holidays.
