Job Summary
Reporting to the Forensic Director, the Clinical Manager is responsible to lead the development, implementation, provision and evaluation of evidence based clinical services. This position will have oversight of clinicians, including social workers, psychologists and clinical case coordinators and support them in the provision of individual and group therapy and case management services. The successful candidate will provide clinical consultation and supervision and administrative oversight to clinical staff. The Clinical Manager will ensure compliance with mandated legislation and accreditation standards and best practices in a secure treatment environment. This position will provide leadership to the clinical team and support the development of individualized clinical treatment approaches, participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensure that equity, diversity and inclusion principles and practices are respected and will also contribute to a safe, least restraint environment. Effective collaboration and communication, systems development, performance management, training and change management strategies will be essential in this position.
Major Responsibilities
Leadership of clinicians
- Development and implementation of clinical processes/frameworks to ensure quality service to clients and families.
- Identify training needs and identify strategies for meeting those needs.
- Participate in recruitment of staff, ensuring the right people in the right roles.
- Provide support to the onboarding and orientation process.
- Monitor agency training with direct reports.
- Support the management team in developing organizational culture.
- Participate in staff goal setting, monitoring staff performance and workload.
- Oversee the development of staff engagement and communication processes.
- On-call responsibilities.
