Overview
Do you love working in a kitchen environment where quality and consistency are key? Sorrentino’s Century Park is looking for a full-time Dishwasher to join our team! This is a key position within our organization that plays a critical role in providing excellent internal and external customer service.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and/or manual methods.
- Ensure dishes are returned to their appropriate areas clean, dry, and undamaged.
- Perform regular cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist in cleaning coolers, freezers, and kitchen equipment as scheduled or directed.
- Dispose of garbage, recycling, and compost appropriately and frequently.
- Maintain clean and safe floors and walkways during busy service periods.
- Ensure all equipment is shut down properly and the dish area is clean and stocked for the next shift.
- Notify the Chef or Sous Chef of any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
Qualifications
- 1 year of dishwashing experience in a restaurant setting required.
- Knowledge of proper handling of cleaning chemicals is an asset, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
