Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Machinery Mechanic to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, dump trucks, stone-slinger, etc. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with equipment and automotive repair, and the ability to work with various tools and schematics. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble and reassemble machinery
- Operate heavy equipment for testing or calibration purposes when necessary
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Assist with installation or upgrade of new machinery components
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and recommendations effectively
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience working with heavy machinery, dump trucks or equipment
- Familiarity with heavy machinery
- Skilled in automotive and heavy machinery repair, electrical systems and mechanical assembly
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and performing heavy lifting tasks safely
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for industrial equipment and heavy equipment operation is preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills combined with excellent customer service abilities are essential for success in this role
Pay: $23.61-$48.85 per hour
