Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized physiotherapy services focused on pelvic health, helping patients improve function, manage pain, and enhance quality of life. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including pediatric and adult patients, in a clinical setting that values compassionate care and clinical excellence.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary, bowel, and sexual health issues.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Perform manual therapy techniques, exercises, and education to improve pelvic floor strength and function.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, bladder and bowel management strategies, and injury prevention.
- Document patient progress accurately in medical records and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Stay current with advancements in pelvic health physiotherapy through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Valid license or certification as a Physiotherapist with specialization or training in pelvic health.
- Prior experience in hospital settings or acute care environments is highly desirable.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical assessment techniques related to pelvic health.
- Proven ability to deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients.
